Important Information — Journal Publication Pathway

  • Authors who wish to join the journal publication pathway should select this option during abstract submission via EasyChair.
  • Submissions will first be checked to ensure that the topic fits the scope of the selected journal. Only abstracts accepted under the journal publication pathway will be eligible to proceed.
  • All submissions undergo independent peer review. Conference acceptance does not guarantee journal publication.
  • The journal publication fee covers submission coordination, editorial handling, and applicable APC charges, unless otherwise specified.
  • The fee is non-refundable once the manuscript enters the review process.
  • Each registration covers one paper only. Additional papers require approval and may be subject to extra charges.

What is included in the delegate package?
Each delegate package includes attendance at SET2026, conference materials, presentation of one paper or poster, gala dinner, and publication of one paper.
What is the difference between the two registration options?
The standard option includes publication in the SET2026 Proceedings. The journal publication pathway allows eligible delegates to have their paper considered for publication in a selected journal for only an additional USD 150.
What happens after I select the Journal Publication Pathway?
Your abstract will first be reviewed to determine whether it fits the scope of JCC or FCE. If it is considered suitable, you will be invited to proceed under the journal publication pathway. If not, your submission may still be considered for presentation at SET2026 and publication in the conference proceedings, subject to the standard review process. Eligible authors must then complete registration and payment, prepare a full paper in line with the selected journal requirements, and submit it via EasyChair. Each full paper will undergo peer review, and authors will have the opportunity to revise their manuscript before a final decision is made. Accepted papers will then proceed for publication in the SET2026 special issue of JCC or FCE.
When should I choose the journal publication option?
You should indicate your interest during abstract submission on the EasyChair portal. Your abstract will then be checked for suitability for the selected journal pathway.
Is the journal publication APC paid separately?
No. The journal publication APC is combined with the conference registration fee and paid as a single payment.
Does choosing the journal pathway guarantee publication?
No. Journal publication is subject to scope fit, peer review, and the final editorial decision of the journal. The fee is non-refundable once the manuscript enters the review process.
What if my paper does not fit the selected journal scope?
If your paper is not considered suitable for the selected journal pathway, it may still be considered for presentation at SET2026 and publication in the conference proceedings, subject to the normal review process.
Can poster presenters apply for the Journal Publication Pathway?
Yes, provided the abstract is submitted under the Journal Publication Pathway and is accepted as eligible. Journal consideration is subject to scope fit, peer review, and final editorial decision. Authors must then prepare a full manuscript in line with the journal requirements and submit it via EasyChair within two weeks after the conference.
Can I submit more than one paper?
Each registration covers one paper only. Additional papers may be accepted subject to approval and additional charges.
